Paperclay Lanterns part two – finished, fired and glowing lanterns

And here is a small selection of the fantastic porcelain paperclay lanterns made by the group at the Brewery Arts. Glowing with candlelight, they could also be lit with an electric bulb. The image below of the two flat sections are from a four part (four-sided) lantern which will need to be ‘laced’ or wired together to stand, and should look wonderful when assembled. Have a closer look at the detail on the translucent sections – lace, leaves, string and even pierced names to personalise. Some (the first two images) are small night light holders, most others such as the conical lanterns are around 20cm tall and the flat window decoration with the dove is 30cm tall.
