Work made at Penmeiddyn: A plaster cast of a deeply grained wooden gate post In the grounds of Penmeiddyn. The white plaster is perfect for revealing delicate texture and showing shadows. This piece could now form the basis for further casting (with materials such as clay or latex) or simply be a piece in itself. “The white of porous plaster simplifies the understanding of the volumes, summarises their content  and makes it objective. The plaster cast fossilises a moment of a body’s life, it steals its form, becomes a matrix for the mutations of its matter…” (Guiseppe Penone:1972)
