I am delighted to offer a special Spring lantern workshop as there was so much demand in the Autumn/winter! Spaces are limited to 6 to ensure everyone gets a fantastic experience so get in touch now to book your space.
It’s dull, dreary and cold here in England at the moment, hardly a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds today. After the festivities and twinkling lights of Christmas, this time of year can feel a bit grey and dark. So come and learn a new skill in the new year, and not only that, light up your home too! Come along to the cosy and warm craft centre in Lansdown, Stroud and learn how to create beautifully translucent porcelain paperclay lanterns. You’ll learn Emily’s technique of creating paper-thin windows to allow as much light through as possible and to create gorgeous three-dimensional effects with texture and shadow. Porcelain paperclay is a wonderful material and you’ll learn more about the amazing properties of paperclay in this one-day workshop. Take a look here for examples of previous lantern workshop results. Your lanterns will be fired and ready to collect after approximately 2 weeks.
Saturday 24th February, 10am-4pm, Craft@the Centre. £70 includes all materials (enough porcelain paperclay to create at least 4 lanterns) and firing. Contact Emily to book on firstname.lastname@example.org
