We are nearing the end of the summer term for the part-time courses at the college and what better way to celebrate a term of hard work than with a raku firing. Or four raku firings to be precise!
And a smoke firing…
Washing and scrubbing the finished work to reveal the bright glazes. There were a lot of white crackle, copper reds and greens used this term as we had run out of the copper blue glaze!
A strong figure showing copper oxide heavily reduced.
Lovely work, and a fun four firings through two classes into the evening.
